I went back to my roots as a tomboy and got super sporty with my outfit this past weekend. I purchased this awesome denim romper on sale at Forever21 for $12, similar found here. I bought both colors in the regular wash (not acid wash) because lets face it, I’m a romper addict. If I can wake up and throw on ONE piece of clothing and not have to pick out a top and bottom, that just makes my day a little easier! Honestly, rompers have and will continue to be a favorite of mine since becoming a mom, they’re flattering, can be dressed up or down and they’re easy. I’m all about making my life a little easier where I can these days. I layered it with a boyfriend plaid shirt from garage clothing found here on sale for $29, it ended up around my waist because it got so hot out! As for shoes, a pair of white converse from Nordstrom is essential for everyone’s closet, they’re super easy, comfy and slip right on, need I say more? Topped off with simple gray baseball cap also found at Nordstrom. Now that I have a kid, sometimes I just can’t mange to do my hair before we’re running out the door to go to the park first thing in the morning, so throwing on a hat helps to keep things simple. I’m going to finish with the most essential piece, my backpack! Honestly, I can’t do diaper bags, they’re just not comfortable with a crazy, fast moving toddler and I’m not at a point where a purse is big enough for everything that I need throughout the day. So, I bought this Marc Jacobs quilted backpack a while back and it was such a great investment. I use it all the time, allowing me to have free hands to play and chase around my almost 2 year old at any given time. It’s something for you to consider if you have a toddler, and the good news is, backpacks are in style right now!
Let’s be honest, the best part about this post is the art. How cool is this Retna wall we stumbled upon in West Hollywood?!
