We were so fortunate to have 2 showers, one on the East Coast and one on the West Coast. Our West Coast shower was held by our wonderful friends Emily, Christine, Aisha, Dan and Eric, who we now consider our family over here! They were so good to us and planned a beautiful event that was beyond anything we could have ever dreamed of. Luckily, our friend Emily Louise Jacks owner of Louise Georges-Yves is a VERY talented Event Planner & Stylist, and she was able to take my many visions and put them into one cohesive theme. I put together a PowerPoint of all my favorite Pinterest pictures and she came up with the theme, “B is for … ” and had everything at the shower start with “B”. It ended up being SO CUTE and it incorporated everything that I had sent her and more. The location that they picked was “Eat This Cafe” in Hollywood which was great, not to mention it was also BLUE, which went perfect with the theme they had planned. It has tons of windows, so it was nice and bright for this beautiful brunch event. Honestly, between the decor, the food, all of the love and thought put into it, it was the most beautiful baby shower in the WORLD. Decor included: “Buzz Bar” full of delicious candy, Biscotti & Body suit cookies, the blue birds and birdhouse in the floral arrangements, baby bump pictures, baby clothes hanging up, blue balloons and so much more! Games: Body suit and bib decoration contest, celebrity baby name matching and a guessing game of when our baby will be born, what he will look like etc. with a prize that will be mailed to the winner after he’s born! Food: The spectacular menu brought to life by Shun Stone at Eat This Cafe which included baby burgers, baby back ribs, blueberry pancakes, brie & spinach quiche, basil skewers, baby veggies with buttermilk ranch, a berry bowl, baby bagels with baby blue cream cheese, and triple berry lemonade with or without champagne.
We feel so blessed to have such amazing friends and family that are supporting us as we go on this journey of parenthood. Thanks to both our East Coast family & friends and our West Coast friends for all of the wonderful things you have done for us! We love you more than words can express. Thanks again to Aisha, Dan, Emily, Eric, Christine, Shun & Theresa for getting together to make the above event such a success…WE LOVE YOU GUYS!
